Yorkshire wedding photographer - Woodlands Hotel - Leeds

Gary and Mona got in touch a while ago about their wedding at the Woodlands boutique hotel in Birstall near Leeds. I was thrilled to be asked to photograph their day at this special venue.

With the brilliant summer we've had so far I was overjoyed when I found out that they would be holding the ceremony outdoors in the glorious sunshine, this wedding was guaranteed to be one to remember.

The staff at the venue were faultless, the ceremony flowed seamlessly, the bride and groom made their way inside for the important, legal part of the ceremony and returned outside once the legalities had been put in place. To have a ceremony outside changes the whole feel of the day, it was amazing, all the family and friends outside in the sun celebrating, laughing and sharing stories.

It was time to make our way inside to take our seats for the speeches and wedding breakfast. The speeches were touching and emotional, strangly the most tears shed were when the bride was gifted a cow by the best men, yep that's right, A COW!

Once the breakfast was done with, I took the bride and groom outside for some relaxed couple photographs, although the majority of the day is shot informally, it's nice to make the most of such a stunning venue and an amazing sunset, ten minutes and we're done and it's back to the party!

The day had come to an end for me but not before the epic groom versus bridal party dance off. I love to photograph weddings like this, relaxed, informal, full of family and friends celebrating together.

Congratulations Gary and Mona, it was an absolute pleasure to be there with you both x

If you are getting married soon and like how I go about shooting, get in touch for a chat and drink and we can discuss your day and how I can help record all those important moments.
